SPECIAL EDUCATIONAL NEEDS:
Children have a range of needs, including physical or sensory difficulties, language difficulties and emotional / behavioural difficulties. We always endeavour to meet the needs of individual children and most children find their needs can be met within a mainstream school. Some children, however, may have additional needs which require additional support; for example a learning difficulty or a disability that means they find it harder to learn than other children in their age group. Our Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENDCO) will help you with any concerns during your child’s time at NCJPS. For pupils with an Education, Health & Care Plan you must contact Stockport’s Special Education Needs and Disabilities Team to discuss the transition arrangements for your child. Please do not apply via the normal application process.
Appeals
Parents who receive a letter from their Local Authority to say that their application has not been successful have the right to appeal. Parents wishing to appeal must contact their Local Authority as soon as possible. This can be done online. Stockport and Trafford residents can use the link below to appeal.
If you have any questions, please contact the school office team who can assist you on 0161 282 4500 or email admissions@northcheshire.stockport.sch.uk
