School Opening Hours: Times of the school day

 

Morning session KS1 8.45 am – 12.00 pm 

Morning session KS2 8.45 am – 12.30 pm 

Morning playtime 10.40 am – 10.55 am

 

Lunchtime

Early Years 11.45 am – 1.00 pm

KS1 12.00 – 1.00 pm

KS2 12.30 pm – 1.25 pm
 

Afternoon session KS1 1.00 pm – 3.25 pm

Afternoon session KS2 1.25 pm – 3.30 pm 

Afternoon playtime KS1 only 2.15 pm – 2.30 pm 

All schools maintained by the local authority and special schools not maintained by the local
authority are required to:

• Meet for at least 380 sessions or 190 days during any school year to educate their pupils.
• Operate two sessions on every school day divided by a break in the middle of the day.
• In addition, schools will be expected to provide a compulsory school week of at least 32.5 hours.

NCJPS exceeds the Government's expectations and offers our children 33.75 hours per week. However, due to religious reasons, we close early on a Friday during the winter months.  Aggregated across the year we still exceed the recommended number of hours.
