Pupil Premium
Pupil Premium Strategy
The Government has given 'Pupil Premium' funding to schools to help children from lower-income families, looked after children or who have parents in the armed forced to do their very best. This year our school budget was credited with £1,455 for each pupil from Reception to Year 6 who is eligible (Total £17,485).
We use this funding to provide additional support to pupils with a range of enhancement activities, so children can raise and maximise their chances of making the expected progress in their learning to reach their academic, social and emotional potential.
- Working with additional teaching assistants in class
- Participation in short term intervention programmes identified and organised for underachieving pupils and those with SEND, e.g. spelling or reading programmes, social skills / friendship groups, one to one tuition
- Participation in extra-curricular activities that give children wider social and educational opportunities
