Our reading spines are a collection of recommended books that are considered to be ‘must-reads’ for everyone. The books in this collection consist of class core texts, anchor texts used in writing, whole class reads, poetry and reading for pleasure class reads. Each book has been carefully chosen to stretch vocabulary, encourage critical and analytical thinking, expose children to different structures and timeframes and to promote a love of reading.
